8 ways to save on your gas bill

There are several ways to save on your gas bill:

  1. Use energy-efficient appliances and devices, such as a programmable thermostat, which can help reduce your energy consumption.

  2. Seal any leaks in your home, such as around windows and doors, to prevent drafts and reduce the amount of energy needed to heat and cool your home.

  3. Insulate your home, particularly in areas that are prone to drafts, such as attics and basements.

  4. Lower the temperature on your water heater to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, which can help reduce the amount of energy needed to heat your water.

  5. Use natural gas appliances, like furnace, boiler, water heater and dryer, when it's more convenient.

  6. Reduce your overall energy consumption by turning off lights and appliances when they are not in use and by using energy-efficient light bulbs.

  7. Compare natural gas prices and consider switching to a different provider if you find a better rate.

  8. Consider alternative heating methods, such as a heat pump, which can be more energy-efficient than traditional gas-powered systems.
